Distribution switchboards are specific for the division of incoming electricity and its transmission. This transfer can take place between a network of other boards, each of which does a specialized job, or simply a multi-purpose distribution board. In fact, this board is a type of power supply with high protection for other boards and machines.

They are divided into two categories:

1. The general (common) board, which usually distributes the building’s electrical needs from this board.

2. The distribution board (miniature fuse boards) which can be different depending on the employer’s opinion, but generally includes a miniature fuse for internal branches.

3. A meter board that is usually used in apartments and buildings that are a unit. And each unit has a separate meter that calculates the energy consumption of that unit separately.

2) Panels that are used to distribute electricity in factories and are designed and produced according to the type of activity.

Industrial distribution panels are referred to as panels that switch the input current of the industrial unit with the help of switches and various protective equipment between power consuming equipment or panels. In fact, these boards are known as MAIN boards and the main power supply of other boards is done through this board.
